Rabies is a disease of animals and people caused by a virus and is a deadly danger. People most often become infected by it after the bite of diseased animals.
In natural foci, foxes, raccoon dogs, wolves, and bats get sick first of all. Dogs, cats and farm animals are infected from them, forming urban and rural foci. Infection of domestic animals usually occurs when they are in direct contact with sick representatives of wild fauna and neglected dogs and cats.
